There is currently a community event (Winter Walk) being coordinated to be held on December 9th, 2023. Persons will be able to gather “clues” at various locations and businesses around town. Once complete, they can be brought into the library, compose a winter poem, and get an ornament, while supplies last.
Santa will be at the Fire Station, ornament making will be at Village Hall, piano music will be at Java Lava, and potentially some crafters will be at The Community Kitchen space. In the evening, we may have a lantern walk and we will encourage folks to see the lighted trees in the park.
As part of the Monticello Winter Walk, the Community Kitchen Co-op will be holding an Artisan Craft Fair from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, in the Sugar River Country Bakery, 209 N. Main St., Monticello. We’ll be serving Hot Apple Cider, Mulled Wine and Delicious Homemade Chili with local meat.
